David Wilson, P.T., MCSP, Clinical Director

David was trained in England and has been treating patients for more than twenty-three years. His interest in back pain, joint care, and sports injuries led him to study with and be certified by the Cyriax Foundation, a world-renouned organization for the practice of orthopeadic medicine.

Since arriving in the desert in 1992, David has earned a reputation as a "physio" that gets results. Even Doctors that have become patients of his have remarked at the speed of their recovery. Part of the reason for his success is that many people underestimate how effective good Physiotherapy can be when administered with precision.

His approach to treatment involves educating his patients so that they understand the cause of their pain, and the mechanics of their own bodies. Patients are more likely to follow through with their "homework" when they understand why.

A frequent comment from patients whom have been battling ailments for years and seeing other therapists is "I wish I'd been told this sooner... I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble."

Rick

Derrick Raburn,  P.T.

Rick has been a Physical Therapist for 17 years.  Rick went into the profession because he loves to help make people feel better.  He also enjoys the challenge of working with different diagnoses and deciding the plan of care that will best help that patient and their individual needs.

Rick says of his career “I have found that orthopedics is where I feel I can make the greatest impact in people's lives.  In this setting I also find that those who work on their exercises at home get the best results and usually continue to exercise on their own even after having been discharged from physical therapy.”

Exercise has always been a big part of his life and his mission has always been to get others to have the same passion.
